Terence Duncan
Terence Duncan is a designer, educator, and humorist whose career has spanned over 40 years. He’s shaped the user experience for more than 45 products while working with well-known brands like Ford Motor Company and KitchenAid.
As Vice President of Design at Mahindra-GenZe, he led the development of electric bikes, scooters, and their companion mobile apps. Terence holds 28 patents and has spent the last 28 years teaching design at Detroit’s College for Creative Studies. He also spent seven years as a visiting lecturer at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, where his popular course on Design and Brand earned praise from students. Although his background is rooted in design, Terence’s passion for writing started as a way to fuel his stand-up comedy. His motto, “If it’s funny, you have to say it!” reflects his sharp, sarcastic wit and love for calling out the absurd moments hiding in plain sight.
